Bookmark Access
Slash reads your Chrome bookmarks directly from your local Chrome profile. This access is:
- Read-only (Slash does not modify your bookmarks)

- On-demand (only accessed when you use the application)
Permissions
Slash requires the following permissions:
Chrome Extension
- bookmarks: To read and search your bookmarks
- storage: To save your settings locally
- tabs: To open bookmarks in new tabs
Desktop Application
- File system access: To read Chrome bookmarks from your local Chrome profile directory
- System tray: To provide quick access via system tray icon
These permissions are used solely for the functionality described and nothing else.
Third-Party Services
Slash does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
Updates
Application updates are delivered through:
- Chrome Extension: Chrome Web Store (managed by Google)
- Desktop App: GitHub Releases or direct download
- CLI: Package managers or direct download
We do not track who downloads or updates the application.
